Serious props to anyone asked to perform at the Cover-Up who delivers with: an act that strays from whatever genre (or from the exact same fucking thing) they play anyway, and costumes. I mean, that’s all I ask. This could also be a metaphor for life.
I got there as Common Loon was taking the stage, and their Madonna set was great and weird, but I’m still holding my breath to see Robert in a cone bra.
Major props to Santa for going full-force, and at their first Cover-Up performance, at that. Dudes jumped in feet-first and that’s the only way to do it.
I’m so mad I missed Andrew WK. How come no one was rocking out in the crowd?! I would have lost control of my body.
