These days, it seems like Zmick is always playing Champaign-Urbana. And, while their Monday night residency at Canopy Club will now benefit worthy causes, Zmick adds another notch to their charity bedpost with this evening’s show. As part of Greenpeace’s Global Warming Story Tour, the Zmickians will be playing an outdoor, solar-powered show across the street from the Urbana Free Library. The event lasts from 5-8pm, so no matter when you get off of work, you can still find time to stop by. And hey, maybe you can drop by Art Mart, grab some crackers and cheese, and make your own little outdoor happy hour! That is, if the weather allows you to.
While OverUC was originally informed that Zmick would be playing the entire set, a member of the band claims that Zmick is playing 5-6, Corn Desert Ramblers are 6-7, and another band (sense the confusion?) will be playing 7-8. We’re working on getting you that name, but the event will hopefully rock, regardless.
