Though the adage tells you not to, “judging a book by its cover” usually works for the best. Passing judgment on things you don’t know that well allows you to correctly assume that The Hills is like watching a television version of In Touch magazine and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (shockingly) doesn’t taste like real butter.
But, every once in a while, you’re just flat out wrong. Though their name brings to mind Harleys, leather jackets and burly men much grittier than The Fonz, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club isn’t as hardcore as they would have you predetermine.
Don’t let BRMC’s Brando-inspired name scare you away — their straight-up rock with psychedelic effects that twist in and out of songs containing well-crafted vocal melodies is definitely worth coming out to Canopy for, even if you have a final tomorrow.
